My "Monday Made It" started out with my animal themed clock which a teacher friend bought for me to go along with my animal themed classroom my first year teaching! As my room has been changing I started to dream of a new clock face this year that would go with the mint and blue classroom materials I've been collecting over the summer.
I stopped over at my local Michaels to scout out some pretty teal scrapbooking paper and scored the cutest chevron pattern for $0.90 with tax thanks to my handy Michaels coupon! Now that they've got their coupons online I can forget them at home as much as I like and just search for them online on my phone when I get to the store... Handy!! I also picked up some cork letters from the dollar store (that I cut into numbers). I probably could have found some beautiful stick on numbers at Michaels but I was in the dollar store this morning and desperately wanting to get my clock finished and up on the wall!
First, I took the clock face off using a screwdriver, then painted the outside frame of the clock with some white spray paint. Using the animal clock face, I traced the outline onto my new piece of scrapbook paper and cut it out. Once that was finished, I added my stick on numbers and put the clock back together! Here is my final product!!
Since I had some spray paint left over from another project, this whole "Monday Made It" cost me a whopping $3. Not bad for a new clock!
